Two intricate, hand-embroidered feathers distinguish the Stanton in remarkable artistry and design detail, and the loose strands of yarn characterize the tufted, wispy fluff found naturally near the bottom of a feather’s quill. Reverse seams on the front and back as well as from the collar to the shoulder point are a bold, distinctive feature, while the pick stitch or knit along the base of the collar front and alongside the collar-to-shoulder reverse seam is a much softer, subtle detail. Equally bold are the notched front and back in the collar and at the back of the bottom hem, and the elongated, full-fashion hand-knit rib pattern on the waist completes the unique detailing. As are all of his creative designs, the Stanton is signed and numbered by Robert Comstock.
