We chose this beautiful 1800s antique quilt to create this one of a kind heirloom coat. The quilt is a gorgeous nine patch quilt using small floral calico prints in the most amazing colors of soft blush, turkey red and neutrals.  It's very soft and light weight with a lovely little floral on the inside back of the quilt.  The jacket is a relaxed fit and one size style that is perfect for layering as this is a nice light weight quilt. The quilt has been hand washed and dried in the sun before we made the jacket. This is a true heirloom piece that should be loved and handled with care. It is not meant to be thrown in the washer, instead we suggest to spot clean and hang out in the sun to clean. This is how quilts were cleaned in the past.
